| 1.
A martial
arts student will behave as a gentleman or lady at all times, both
inside and outside the club. |
| 2.
Higher randked belt students will aid lower rands at all times and
lower belts will follow the instructions fo the higher rank. NOTE:
Higher ranks will not abuse this right (ie. Do not teach what you
are not sure of, or have not been taught yourself) |
| 3.
Do not criticize
other martial arts, martial artists or martial arts clubs. |
| 4.
No alchohol
or drugs before classes and no candy, gum or smoking while inside
the club. |
| 5.
Each student
will bow upon entering and leaving the gym area. |
| 6.
No student will provoke violence or allow himself to be provoked into
violence under the pain of possible expulsion for life from the club. |
| 7.
No sparring
without the express permissionof the head instructor. |
| 8.
No loud talking, laughing or profanity is permitted. Remember: The
club is a serious place of serious study. |
| 9.
Anyone coming
late to classes must do automatic pushups. Do not make coming late
a habit. |
| 10.
Personal
cleanliness is essential, nails must be clipped, feet and hands must
be spotless and hair must not interfere with your training. |
| 11.
All jewellery must be removed before entering the workout areas. |
| 12.
All students
must wear proper club uniforms that are kept clean, with no tears,
rips or discolouration in them. |
| 13.
All fees
are to be paid on time. If for some reason they cannot be paid, make
the necessary arrangements with the head instructor. NOTE: One cannot
move from Novice I to Novice II group unless all fees are paid in
full. |
| 14.
Under no
circumstances will any form of Kung-Fu or Karate be taught by any
member to any non-member. Also, no student should teach anything to
any member without the head instructor's express permission. |
| 15.
All students
should refer to the head instructor as Sifu (Seefoo), which is the
honourable way of saying Head Teacher in Chinese. NOTE: In Japanese
Karate you would address the instructor as Sensei (Sensay). |
| 16.
At the discretion
of the Sifu, (and other club instructors), any member of the club
may be suspended from the club, either temporarily or indefinitely
for not complying with any of the above rules. |
| 17.
No
loitering in the reception area. |
| 18.
NOTE TO
REMEMBER: PROPER RESPECT, DISCIPLINE, AND HONOUR ARE DEMANDED. |
